Gabriela Illa Acevedo is the founder and managing attorney of Integrity Legal Services, LLC. She began working in healthcare in 2012 as a community organizer in Chicago supporting the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. After working as a public health researcher in Washington, DC, she transitioned to health law. Today her health law practice focuses on entity formation and wind downs, as well as state and federal regulatory compliance (including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA, value-based care arrangements, and corporate practice of medicine laws) commercial contracting, and data privacy matters.

Gabriela earned a bachelors degree in public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a juris doctorate degree with a concentration in health law from DePaul University College of Law. She is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, and American Health Law Association. As part of her volunteerism, Gabriela also serves as a board director for a private foundation focused on medical research and community health.
